While there's plenty of drama packed into Selling The OC, Alexandra Jarvis' obsession with drinking water is an understated highlight of the show.

Selling The OC recently made its debut on Netflix after months of anticipation, and while the spin-off of Selling Sunset features eight new Oppenheim Group agents and heaps of drama between them, one underappreciated storyline concerns Alexandra Jarvis and her obsession with drinking water. Selling The OC season 1, which began streaming on August 24, follows Jason Oppenheim's newest branch of his successful brokerage, The Oppenheim Group, with cameras shifting from the real estate market in Los Angeles to Newport Beach and its surrounding areas. Selling Sunset, which was recently renewed for two more seasons, also inspired the spin-off Selling Tampa, which focuses on Sharelle Rosado's firm Allure Realty in Florida.

Like its predecessors, Selling The OC features the Oppenheim Group realtors touring several luxurious California properties that are either being considered for sale or are already on the market. Alex Hall, Alexandra Rose, Alexandra Jarvis, Brandi Marshall, Gio Helou, Tyler Stanaland, Polly Brindle, Kayla Cardona, Sean Palmieri, Austin Victoria, and Lauren Shortt are the newest agents-turned-reality stars who not only share their professional lives on camera but the amount of drama between them. The three Alex's, in particular, have become standouts since Selling The OC premiered, with Hall's treatment of Jarvis and Rose being compared to straight-up bullying by viewers.

Although the long-awaited dramatics of Selling The OC has become the new spin-off's focal takeaway, one reoccurring theme that hasn't received enough attention among viewers or critics involves Jarvis and her love for water. While Jarvis and Rose find themselves at odds with Hall, Kayla, and Polly throughout their debut season, Jarvis finds a way to explain to Rose how much she loves water several times, such as in one scene where the women enjoy lunch outside. In fact, Jarvis not only hypothesizes that she was a "water sommelier" in her past life but even spent $6,000 on a high-tech water machine that, according to Jarvis, makes the molecules found in water smaller.

In a sea of arguments and crossed boundaries between other Selling The OC agents like Kayla and Tyler, Jarvis' fixation on drinking water over other beverages adds another breath of fresh air to Selling The OC. While several of Jarvis and Rose's cast members bring their personal lives into the office, Jarvis, along with Rose, have a lot of conversations that don't revolve around the Oppenheim Group. Although several million-dollar properties are displayed on Selling The OC, Jarvis, Rose, and Gio are the three agents who seem to be the most focused on gaining, maintaining, and closing out listings.

Jarvis has become a standout Oppenheim Group realtor since Selling The OC made its debut on Netflix, and although the new reality star is seemingly still involved in the drama between herself and Hall, viewers appreciate her calm demeanor and quirky personality. Although the Selling Sunset spin-off's future is still up in the air, viewers further hope that if the show is renewed for a second season, Selling The OC fans hope Jarvis will return. While each of the Oppenheim Group realtors has something special or unique about them, Jarvis and her particular interest in water are one of the most endearing.
